    Dr. Carrie Brace has been with Briargate Blvd Animal Hospital for 7 1/2 years and purchased the practice from Dr. Doug Barton in 2004. She graduated from Montana State University in 1981, and Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and spent 10 years in a small animal practice and volunteering at the local animal shelters near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1985 she moved to Washington state and practiced in a small animal/exotics practice for 5 years working with various pets and some unique species such as exotic cats (Servals and Bobcats), kangaroos and brush tailed possums.
    Dr. Brace returned to her home state of Colorado in 2000 to be closer to family. She enjoys working with our wonderful clients and their pet families. Dr. Brace enjoys the outdoor life of hiking, cross country skiing, camping, fishing and spending time with her husband Randy and their two dogs and two cats.

    Dr. Thompson joined Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital during the 2006 summer. Dr. Thompson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from Washington State University and a Veterinary Technology degree from Central Carolina Community College. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Colorado State University in 2000. She did an externship at Washington State University and worked in Palmer Lake and Castle Rock before joining our practice. She really enjoys Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital's small family oriented practice after working at a large 10 doctor practice.
    Dr. Thompson enjoys surgery, dentistry, and working with our great clients and their pets. She was a race veterinarian for the Yukon Quest Sled Dog race for four years. She has an interest in sports medicine and lameness. 
    Dr. Thompson lives in Larkspur with her daughter and significant other. She has a Border Collie, one cat, three horses, and  one mule. Dr. Thompson enjoys reading, training horses, hiking, and other outdoor sports.
